“Study on the average wage level in ten sectors of the economy and the availability of foreign languages ​​for jobseekers in the information technology sector and the global business services sector”

During the research, up-to-date information was obtained and a report was prepared on the average market remuneration level in the sector of economic importance (woodworking, metalworking, mechanical engineering and electronics, transport and logistics, food processing and other production) in the cities and regions of Latvia. and the global business services industry. The materials collected during the research can be used to inform potential foreign investors about the Latvian workforce environment and those interested in starting a business in Latvia.

Scientific research “Business environment analysis in Saldus and Brocēni region”

The aim of the research was to analyze and analytically evaluate the business environment in Saldus and Brocēni counties, to develop graphic models (maps) for identifying the level and development potential of the business environment, as well as to develop proposals for further development of business environment competitiveness.

As a result of the research, the priorities of business environment development and increasing its competitiveness in Saldus and Brocēni counties were identified, the place and role of implementation of these priorities in increasing the balanced and sustainable development of both counties was specified and the factors promoting and hindering the implementation of these priorities were clarified. The research was carried out in close cooperation with county and parish municipalities, business representatives and residents.

Project “Is the customer always right?”

The aim of the project was to develop a manual for a water tourism service provider for project no. EU-43385 “Development of water tourism as a component of nature and active tourism in Latvia and Estonia” (Riwerways).

Within the framework of the project, communication and cooperation routes were identified so that the services provided by the entrepreneur would be of high quality and his client would like to return again and again.

Within the framework of the project, training seminars were organized and individual consultations were provided to Latvian water tourism companies with the aim to increase the quality of active and nature tourism business services in accordance with the “Q – Latvia” quality evaluation criteria.

EU project “Youth in Transition – Innovative Potential, New Content and New Challenges”

The main goal of the project was to analyze the situation of the new generation in the countries with a past of the communist regime.

The project consortium brought together research teams from eight different countries. Six of them represent Europe (Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Latvia, Russia and Germany) and two countries represent Asia (Vietnam and China).

Within the framework of the research, a comparison of youth in the Polish-Latvian perspective was prepared, namely, the situation of young people in the social, demographic, economic and cultural spheres in Latvia as one of the post-communist countries was analyzed.

The study included 6 thematic modules:

1. the socio-social and economic causes of change processes in post-communist countries;

2. socialization processes and their results: life trends, values, life strategies of young people;

3. education and its role in positioning and changing the social structure;

4. starting adult life (work, family and private life, free time);

5. presence in society;

6. social integration of young people and threats to social cohesion – towards the issue of the role of young people in transition processes and social change (including in the regions).

ERDF Project “Development and Adaptation of Innovative Technological Solutions to Reduce the Risk of Fruit and Berry Growing in Latvian Conditions”
