Foreign capital in the share capital of Latvian banks

Raita Karnite, Ivan de Castro Gonsalves-Berzins and Santa Popovica published the book “Foreign Capital in the Share Capital of Latvian Banks” ISBN 9984-774-05-8.

In order to study what foreign capital means in the share capital of Latvian banks and what consequences its existence has for the Latvian economy, a study “Foreign capital in the share capital of Latvian banks” was conducted at the Institute of Economics of the Latvian Academy of Sciences. This book reflects the results of the study. The book summarizes the theoretical discourse on the role of foreign capital in the development of the banking sector, describes the Latvian banking sector, the amount of non-resident capital and the countries of origin in the share capital of banks in Latvia. The book will be useful for anyone interested in the banking sector.
