Irina Curkina in cooperation with the Institute of Economics of the Latvian Academy of Sciences, in 2003 published a book entitled “Factors of Economic Growth in Latvia” ISBN9984-9574-7-0.
This book analyzes the current state of the Latvian economy and future development perspectives from the position of classical economics. What is presented in this book is also a good example of how the basic concepts of the classical economy – such as labor, natural resources, human capital, investment in technology, and foreign trade – can be used in modern economic development research. The book will be useful for everyone who is interested in the modern Latvian economy and is going to do an independent analysis: students, researchers, civil servants and politicians.
