Tourism in Latvia: development and perspectives, tourism satellite accounts

Ilze Berzina and Raita Karnite, in cooperation with the Institute of Economics of the Latvian Academy of Sciences, published the book “Tourism in Latvia: Development and Perspectives, Tourism Satellite Accounts” in 2001 ISBN 9984-9364-9-X.

The book is a summary of the results of the research “Tourism contribution to the Latvian economy” and “Economic substantiation of the Latvian national tourism development program” of BO SIA “Institute of Economics of the Academy of Sciences”. The obtained findings can be applied in strategic and spatial planning of tourism at the national, regional and local levels, as well as in the work of state and municipal institutions, tourism industry, non-governmental organizations and educational institutions.
