On January 20 Institute of Economics participated in the first project meeting for HORIZON-2020 project “EQUALS-EU: Europe’s Regional Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age”. Due to pandemic situation, 1st Consortium meeting took part in online format through ZOOM platform. After quick round of introduction and presentation of the project idea, Consortium members from 19 countries have discussed work packages structure and first steps to be taken in order to achieve project goals.
EQUALS-EU aims to promote gender equity in social innovation and helps eliminate gender bias by directly integrating and raising the profile of women and girls as leaders in social innovation and entrepreneurship. It is focusing on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and power skills and leadership positions in the ICT industry.
We are really looking forward for great collaboration with all partners, even greater outcome and new horizons opening for women in science, business and innovation!
