The 7th International Economic Forum, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia, aims to explore the intersection of innovation and ethical responsibility in the quickly progressing digital economy. Building on the success of the previous six forums, this year’s event will focus on how ethical considerations can shape technological advancements, ensuring they contribute to sustainable growth and global well-being.
The reason innovation and ethical responsibility are the keywords of this International Economic Forum and of our time lies in their interdependence. Innovation without ethics can lead to mistrust, inequality, and harm, undermining the very progress it seeks to achieve. Conversely, ethics without innovation may result in stagnation and an inability to address emerging challenges effectively. It is the synergy of these two that will determine our ability to navigate the complexities of the digital age successfully. We can ensure that our progress is inclusive, sustainable, and beneficial for all members of society only by prioritizing ethical considerations alongside technological advancement.
The successful practice of six previous Economic Forums is continuing, and the Forum serves as a platform for the exchange of experience and cooperation of educators, scientists, teachers, entrepreneurs, and politicians, stimulating the entry of local and foreign investment and the development of an innovative economy in the long term. As a platform for dialogue and cooperation, the Forum will bring together experts from diverse fields, including technology, finance, academia, and policy. These participants will share their experiences and insights through a series of plenary sessions, roundtable discussions, and interactive workshops.
