Mentor, Inspirational Force at the Institute of Economics, Latvian Academy of Sciences

Dr Baiba Iivza is one of the towering personality in the world of Economics & Academic Research. Dr Baiba is the mentor & guiding spirit behind the Institute of Economics of the Latvian Academy of Sciences & works closely with Prof. Dr Kannan Vishwanatth & Dr Nina Linde. She served as Minister from Apr 2006 – Dec 2007 in the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia. The Ministry of Education and Science is responsible for education, science, sports, youth and state language policies in Latvia. We are here to foster a highly innovative, wealthy and integrated society in which everyone has equal opportunities for development.She contributed significantly as a research & resourceful personality.Dr Baiba’s research focuses on the agriculture market and Economics, and involves elements of both sociology and economics. Her research priorities include careers, regional mobility, how reputations form, how the supplier-client relationship is socially and institutionally ingrained, and balancing family life and work.
