Mission
The mission of the Institute of Economics of the Latvian Academy of Sciences (LAS IE) is to promote the development of Latvia’s economy at the regional and national levels through the application of innovative, research-based solutions. LAS IE focuses on providing expert analysis and recommendations on economic challenges and opportunities, contributing to the development of a knowledge-based society and fostering cooperation among science, education, technology, and culture.
Vision
The vision of LAS IE is a society in which science, entrepreneurship, and technology operate in harmony to promote sustainable development, innovation, and social engagement. By reducing the gap between research, policy-making, and practical implementation, the Institute aims to strengthen economic resilience and competitiveness while fostering a culture of creative leadership and lifelong learning.
