In the remote meeting representatives of different countries participated, including: China, Latvia, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Romania, and Serbia. The annual meeting covered plethora of important topics related to development of international relations between EU countries and China.
Discussions about European and Chinese economic development in the post-Pandemic era and China’s 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for national Economic and Social Development and the Long-Range Objectives through the year 2035 were covered. China’s “dual circulation” economic strategy was performed to give a better understanding for European partners regarding the principle of sustainable development and growth of Chinese economy. The webinar was composed of four sessions: (1) keynote speech on China’s the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) for the National Economic and Social Development and the Long-Term Objectives Through the Year 2035, (2) annual report of the Institute for 2020, (3) speeches from IAC members, (4) Q&A session.
Besides, colleagues from China-CEE Institute shared the reasons behind successful fight with Covid-19 pandemic, among others there are:
- How to find a balance between individualism and collectivism in terms of social values and to motivate everybody to have a discipline?
- How to respect science and basic knowledge in order to increase scientific credibility for the general public?
- How to find a balance between human lives and economic development? Human lives and their salvation always come first!
Regarding the future plans of China-CEE and European institutions, the research cooperation is planned to be very fruitful and efficient in the coming year.
