Experienced and relived

Publication Year: 2008

Peteris Gulans, in cooperation with the Institute of Economics of the Latvian Academy of Sciences, published the book “Experienced and Experienced” in 2008 ISBN 9984-774-09-0

The main story in this book is about the time spent, the problems it creates, the intertwining of human relationships and their behavior in conflict situations. The narration and evaluation of the events is mostly given by looking at them from the inside – as they were observed, understood and felt by the participant, moreover, explained impassively, objectively, avoiding categorical secrets and emotional glorification. The experienced narrator essentially raises a question not explicitly mentioned in the reflection: was it easy to be an active and honest citizen in the previous system and continuing, or was it easy to be in the current and in any other?
