The aim of the study is to develop demographic forecasts in Riga, its surroundings and the interior of the Riga metropolis for 2030 and 2050, as well as to develop an understanding of the profile of potential residents in Riga in 2030 and 2050.

- to prepare variants of the demographic forecast (including by gender and age groups) in Riga, its surroundings and in the interior of the Riga metropolis;
- to develop the active or target variant, if the set of all influencing factors would lead only to changes in all types of population movement promoting the recovery of the demographic situation.
